Solar Plexus | Manipura Chakra Explorations

Try a few minutes of intentional
fire devotion a day …

These explorations are purely optional and are here to support your journey if you choose. Let yourself be ignited by the alchemy of fire!

Choose what feels best for your SACRED FIRE.

  1. Wake up for the sunrise. Greet the sun and welcome the new day into your Solar Plexus chakra.

    “The Manipura chakra is like the morning sun; meditating on it with gaze fixed on the tip of the nose one can stir up the world.” — Gorakshashatakam — 10th century

  2. Rub your hands together to create heat, then place your warm hands over your solar plexus. You can also gently massage between your sternum and navel.

  3. Listen to your body. What does the highest wisdom of your body want you to know? What does the highest wisdom of fire want you to know about your life?

  4. Work with stones, gemstones, and earth elements that nourish and enliven your Solar Plexus.

  5. Bring awareness to that which nourishes you and your digestive fire. I recognize that we all have unique constitutions and dietary needs. With that in mind, I welcome you to bring curiosity to the table —

    1. What are you digesting in your life? What makes you feel your best? What dulls your senses?

    2. Is there an opportunity to bring deeper nourishment into your life through a purification, renewal/cleanse? Think of fresh local ingredients.

    3. Notice any triggers that come up around this and ask to be shown their roots, and nourish those aspects too!

  7. Continue sounding by doing at least 3 rounds of Aum a day, if it feels good, do more!

Breath of Fire

  1. Start in a comfortable cross-legged position. 

  2. Place your hands on your knees, palms facing upward. You can also place a hand on your belly to feel it rise as you breathe. Lengthen your spine and open your heart.

  3. Inhale through your nose, feeling your belly expand as you do so.

  4. Without pausing, exhale forcefully through your nose while contracting your abdominal muscles. Keep your inhales and exhales equal in length. Repeat until you’re comfortable with the pattern.

  5. Continue the rhythm, inhaling passively and exhaling forcefully. Repeat several times to practice.

  6. Now, speed up the inhales and exhales. Your exhales should be powerful and audible.
