About Deva
Deva Munay, founder of Sacred Sound & Wonder, helps to elevate and uplift lives by providing insight and inspiration through the power of sound. She has over 25 years of experience in the field of health, movement, and wellness and holds a degree in Sound Healing and Therapy from the Globe Institute of Sound & Consciousness. She acquired her first sound healing instruments in 1997 while attending the Dalai Lama’s teachings in McLeod Ganj, India. Many of her techniques have been learned while traveling to Peru, Egypt, India, Nepal, Bali, Thailand, and Central America.
Deva works solely with Crystal Tones Alchemy Singing Bowls, the finest crystal bowls available in the world. She has found using the Alchemy Bowls to be the fastest way to find stillness, inner peace, and harmony in our lives. She uses the power of sound to bring people and groups into deeply healing, restorative, meditative states of being. She loves to co-create sound practices and help people find their perfect singing bowls for their own homes.
Deva produced and performed on The Overlapping Halos Album and has played with various musicians in diverse venues. She facilitates workshops, retreats, and lectures worldwide.
Deva resides in Big Sur, CA, where she practices sound healing in her studio overlooking the sea. She performs with various musicians and facilitates transformative workshops, online immersions, and empowering one-on-one programs, delving even deeper into the potential of Sacred Sound.
Deva's expertise in the field is backed by her education, which includes a Degree in Sound Healing and Therapy from the Globe Institue of Sound & Consciousness, an Interdisciplinary Degree in Biology, Cultural Anthropology, and Art/Photography, and certifications as a yoga instructor and massage therapist.
