Honoring our human hive we welcome men and women to this divine taste of collaborative frequency and sweetness. We learn how to tune into the frequency of the honeybees and our collective consciousness. Enjoy a sacred sound activation with crystal singing bowls as we drop into a deep listening meditation to attune to the inner hive. Learn about honeybee health and how we can help our bee friends. We will also learn of the Bee pollinating flowers and how to create gardens that support the bees.
Anchored by the forest and the great Pacific Ocean we practice syncing up with our surroundings. Orienting ourselves in our environment like the Bee’s knowing where to find the pollen of delight. Our bodies are the sacred temple of our soul, like the hive is to the honeybees.
As a community, we will explore life lessons from the Honeybees: the Hive and the Hum, from self-care to community care. We engage our senses in a delightful exploration of honey through tasting, smelling, anointing ourselves in the nectar. Deva will share her six years of honey bee apprenticeship and tending to the mystery of the Hive. We learn how to care for the larger super organism of humanity by starting with us. Through simple practices, we learn to love and tend to our world more devotionally.

SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY
10:30 am Arrival - MEET GOLDEN SPRUCE RETREAT CENTER
Arrive and breathe in the spacious and quiet land of Golden Spruce Retreat Center.
11:00 am - 12:15 pm SET THE HIVE CONSCIOUSNESS
After simple buzz introductions, we will be introduced to how the Bees come to a new place, how they activate their song, and set their sonar on the surroundings. Modeling the Bee’s we will walk the land and find our own markers to orient. We will be introduced to the pollinating flowers in the garden and identify the native variety of bees on the Oregon Coast.
12:15 pm - 1:15 pm OPEN SPACE & LUNCH
Free time to mingle, wander the area, journal, hang in a hammock, and enjoy your lunch packed from home. We will offer tea and drinks.
1:15pm - 2:45 pm GATHER OUR POLLEN
We walk to Falcon Cove Secluded Beach, identifying native pollinators along the way, and finding our HUM. On the Beach we find space to release pent up emotional energy and find a sense of play in the body. We free up our body by shaking, vocal toning, and movements to clear out the vibration of fear, grief, isolation, struggle, and judgment. We find through rhythmic movement and connection with the Ocean a reflection of ease and comfort again in our body and being in group. We then have time to venture out on our own journey to find a talisman on the beach.
3:00 pm - 4:15 pm SACRED SOUND ACTIVATION
We harmonize our group and allow our imaginations and inner mappings to find freedom through tone and vibration. Using Crystal Singing Bowls, Tuning Forks, Bells, and Rattles you are brought into a frequency tonal resonance. We will put on our honey facial masks before the sound healing for a full sensation buzz.
4:15 pm - 4:30 pm MARK YOUR MAP
Journaling, drawing, or reflecting in silence, the space after sound, we allow the time for claiming your insight.
4:30 pm - 4;45 pm TASTE THE SWEETNESS
Savor honey from different climates; just as you might sample wine from different regions, honey contains the original nectar of its location and ecology.
5:00 pm - 6:00 pm OUR HIVE EPIPHANIES & SHARING
We share our found talisman meaning and how we want to care for the HIVE of HUMANITY. We close our hive.

Prepare for your retreat
We will be spending the majority of our time outside in nature so I recommend you bring comfortable shoes that are easy to take on and off like, a pair of flip-flops. The Oregon Coast is a fickle climate so check the forecast before packing and remember we will be moving, sitting, crawling, dancing on the earth so pack comfortable clothes. Please bring a yoga mat and a pillow for the sound bath. I also ask everyone to bring a journal, a bag to carry treasures to and from beach and forest, water bottle, a wash cloth, & hand towel. Please pack your own lunch.

Deva Munay
Deva is passionate about the transformational power of sacred sound. She has a certificate in Sound Healing from the Globe Institute of Sound & Consciousness in San Francisco and is an ambassador for Crystal Tones Singing Bowls. She works at both Post Ranch Inn and Esalen where she leads Sound Journeys and teaches yoga, mediation and a class called “the Hive and Hum,” about honeybees and frequency; in addition she has a private practice that extends beyond to the larger community.
In 1997 while on a 4.5 month pilgrimage Deva acquired her first sacred sound tools - two Tibetan Singing Bowls and a set of tingshas. During this journey she also learned the art of meditation, most notably while studying with the Dalai Lama for ten days after the Tibetan New Year in Dharmsala, India. From there she has traveled and studied healing modalities in Belize, Thailand, Malaysia, Nepal, Mexico, Guatemala, Peru, Bali and most recently a 2.5 week pilgrimage to the Great Pyramids and Temples in Egypt with 24 women - an initiation of divine love, leadership and vocal empowerment.
She incorporates this kaleidoscope of cultures and wisdom into her sound journeys to create a unified field of pure awareness and healing, which leave most in a state of wonder, awe and gratitude.
