Sweet Water Classical Music Festival

  • Sweet Water Music Festival Box 333 Owen Sound, ON N4K 5P5 Canada (map)

For twenty years, SweetWater Music Festival has been captivating and enriching our local community by spreading the joy of music. This year’s festival is a proud homage to our dedicated audiences, hard-working volunteers, and our supremely talented musicians as we celebrate twenty years of enjoying live music together!

Edwin and Deva, members of the Overlapping Halos Trio, will perform together on Thursday evening for the opening concert. Deva will also facilitate two additional Alchemy Sound Meditations on Friday and Saturday from 9-10 am.

From Baroque and beyond, there’s something for everyone at this year’s festival. You’ll be treated to baroque chamber music at its finest performed by incredible historic music specialists all the way to an evening of jazz featuring Roberto Occhipinti. You won’t want to miss the SHHH! Ensemble’s sonic dreamscapes!

Plus, we are bringing back a free concert for kids, our luthier exhibit where you can learn how string instruments are made, a participatory classical jam session, and two free noon-hour concerts; one of which will feature our Next Wave emerging artists (full details to be announced in July!). And of course, we’ll celebrate our 20th birthday with cupcakes and bubbly after our Finale concert at the Meaford Arts Centre.

Join us for a week of inspiring music and community from September 12-17, 2023 in Owen Sound, Meaford, and Leith – we can’t wait to see you again!
